Smoke in the room, lights hangin' low
A tight old ball, swingin' slow
Coins on the table, sweat on the floor
Come watchin' the last fight, seen it before
Faces in the shadows, whisperin' grin
Every poor soul bettin' he'll win
Glass on the bar, silence around
Waitin' for that lonesome sound
The room holds still before the fight
Every damn fool here chasin' the crown
